How did alcoholic drinks get the name cocktails?
Many different versions of how it came to be, too bad they couldn't find one that is authoritative. Over the past year or so, I have started saying let's go out for cocktails myself. I think my Mom got be started. I guess its a little more grown up then, "Let's go get wasted", though that is usually what occurs when we got out for cocktails ;)
