Ping to weblogs.com

I'm not sure if this just DIDN'T cause an warning in MT before or if it is representative of a new problem, but has anyone seen a lot of failures trying to ping weblogs.com lately?

I had one fail yesterday. Usually, it works eventually. If it doesn't work automatically when you post in MT, you can try going here to do it manually: http://newhome.weblogs.com/pingSiteForm

If that doesn't work, you know it's definitely a problem with the server at that moment, but it'll get fixed eventually.

did you upgrade your mt? when I upgraded that's when I started failing to ping all the ones I usually ping. Not saying it's the upgrade but not ruling it out either :)

Yup, upgraded MT. I get this feeling this error was ignored in the past and shows up now.
